Counseling & Guidance
SCHOOL COUNSELOR'S VISION STATEMENT

All students are entitled to receive the benefits of a school counseling and guidance program that is developmental in nature, preventive in design, and comprehensive in scope.  As an integral part of the total educational program, credentialed school counselors ensure equity and access to services so that every student is challenged and supported to achieve his/her highest potential.

Based on the American School Counselors Association (ASCA) National Standards, the purpose of the school counseling program is to create a healthy student learning environment by assisting students to establish academic, career, and personal/social goals. The standards serve as a framework in the development of measurable student competencies.

MANAGEMENT & ACCOUNTABILITY

School counselors measure the results of their program on a yearly basis.  This data is used to drive program improvement decisions, develop yearly action plans that reflect student needs, and monitor student progress.
